"In my work i try to question the naturalness of how we look at things. This is particularly true in my still-lifes. In a traditional still life we recognize their interdependence of the objects. What i do is, i take the objects from their original context. There is no hierarchy, which are characteristic and obvious to the "still life". All subjects and objects im my paintings playing the same important role. The objects in my paintings dont have to have anything in common. Its getting a new relationship and loses the original meaning. They will work in a new role. I want to challenge the viewer with this, and force them to change their ways of looking and interpreter. Are we aware of the many steps we take when we look at a painting?"
